Both inquiry and project-based learning are essential for my unit plan. The basics of my unit plan deals with writing in the classroom. With my essential question, "What is the purpose of writing?", there are many questions that can be created. My unit question does just that. Essential questions are open ended and help create inquiry and learning. Every person might think of different questions that comes from the root of my essential question. When the students ask each other these questions it creates conversations that results in learning.
My unit questions; "Can I write for fun?", "Is writing always structured?", and "How do I know what to write about?" are just a few examples of what students might think to ask. These questions start the learning of different types of writing and the writing process in general. With the teachers help, along with peers, the students learn from their own questions and hopefully become more interested in what they are doing.

Your unit plan can also help students relate to real experiences they have as individuals and as a collective. Showing books on particular topics, such as animals and then another book on the zoo, the teacher might ask who has been to the zoo, this could be what they all share together. I like what you wrote!
